What system of gemological grading do you use for your loose and mounted diamonds?
Loose Diamonds:
Setting the highest possible standards in gemstone grading, Damasci’s loose diamond inventory is accompanied by GIA, as well as AGS and IGI laboratory certification.
Mounted Diamonds
The diamonds set in our hand-crafted collections are graded and inspected by a GIA graduate before being set. Damasci has strict quality controls in place for all diamonds and gemstones used in the creation of our jewelry.

How To Care For And Insure Your Jewelry
Does Damasci provide care and maintenance to jewelry it sells in store or online?
Yes it does. All Jewelry products purchased are eligible for a complimentary cleaning every three months and are registered under Damasci’s lifetime warranty program. For more information please refer to our customer service department at 1-855-539-6886.
What is covered by the Damasci Lifetime Warranty Program?
Our warranty includes services such as cleaning, polishing, prong tightening, rhodium plating and a full inspection of your Damasci jewelry products. Also included under our Damasci warranty is replacement of lost accent diamonds due to manufacturing defects.
Do you provide insurance appraisals?
Yes we do. Every Damasci product valued at over $800 will be accompanied by a full insurance evaluation, appraised by a GIA certified gemologist. This appraisal can be used to obtain coverage from a jewelry insurance provider.
Can I insure my jewelry with Damasci?
We are pleased to provide you with insurance appraisals which you can then use to obtain insurance coverage. And, for your convenience, Damasci is in partnership with Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company to provide you with the option of insuring your jewelry under their personal jewelry insurance policy. Insuring your Damasci jewelry has never been quicker or simpler, giving you the freedom to wear your Damasci creations with worry-free confidence, knowing they are being insured by the world’s largest and oldest jewelry company, leaving you with a sense of emotional and financial wellbeing.

Yes, many clients take pleasure participating in the custom design process. It’s a wonderful opportunity to create something which is a unique expression of yourself.

If I place an international order, do I pay custom fees to Damasci or to FedEx?
Damasci is pleased to ship an international order to you at no additional cost. You will be contacted by the courier who will collect any taxes or duties owing. All Damasci shipping is done via FedEx International Priority and usually takes 2 -3 business days.
How do I find my ring size?
There are several methods available to determine your ring size (or the ring size of a loved one). Please click here for a full list of the options available to you.
If the ring size I order is incorrect, what do I do?
All Damasci customers receive one complimentary ring resizing, within 60 days of purchase. Your ring will then be returned to you free of charge via 2-day FedEx.
Certain ring designs, such as eternity bands or tension rings, cannot be re-sized as they would require total re-manufacturing. However, Damasci’s approach is to ship the ring mount to you free of charge, with return postage included, for proper fitting before the diamonds or gemstone are set in.

Can you engrave my ring?
Yes, we will gladly personalize your ring with an inscription of your choosing, at no additional charge. However a re-polishing fee of $50 is in effect should you decide to return your purchase.
If I purchase an engagement ring, along with a loose diamond, will there be an additional charge to have the diamond set in the ring.
Absolutely not! Many clients choose to purchase their diamonds separately, thus assuring a uniquely special look to their jewelry creation.
I have my own diamond. Can it be set in one of Damasci’s engagement ring settings?
Most certainly! Damasci is pleased to sell its quality settings with or without the purchase of our loose diamonds. There are exceptions however. It would be impossible, for instance, to accurately manufacture many of our rings unless we had the accompanying diamonds already in our possession. Rings with diamond halos, for instance, and other complex designs fall into this category. In such cases, we are pleased to work with you through the mail.
Damasci will forward to you a complimentary return label, which will allow you to ship us your diamond or gemstone, after your online ring setting purchase has been confirmed.

The most reliable diamond appraisal source in the world is GIA (Gemological Institute of America). And the American Gem Society (AGS), along with the International Gemological Institute (IGI) are also highly respected sources for diamond appraisal certification, assuring the precise value and quality of your diamond.

What are the "Four C's"?
When diamonds are graded for purpose of quality, it is the Four C’s which provide main reference points. These comprise Carat (the size of the stone), Color, Clarity, and Cut. As such, each diamond is graded with these four specific points in mind.
Please explain the meaning of the term “Eye Clean”
When a diamond is clean to the unaided eye, in a close-up position, from 8 to 10 inches in distance, it’s generally referred to as eye-clean. Diamonds in SI1, SI2 and I1 require visible inspection to determine the nature of the inclusion visible from the top.

To the non-professionals, diamonds tend to look alike. How will I know I am receiving the same diamond quality I ordered?
An independent GIA, IGI, or AGS laboratory report accompanies all Damasci loose diamonds and diamond engagement ring purchases. This detailed report, along with your loose diamond, can be inspected by a qualified gemologist of your choosing and compared against the unique characteristics of your diamond purchase. Furthermore, each diamond is laser inscribed with a serial number to assure the diamond you ordered and the one you received are one and the same.
How can I be sure that I purchased an authentic Damasci product?
Damasci takes pride in its unique diamond and gemstone engagement ring collections, amply showcased on the Damasci website.
Each engagement ring purchase is set with our Damasci handcrafted emblem, and also engraved with a serial number on the inside.
Your engagement ring warranty is automatically registered as the moment you pick up or delivery is confirmed.
Where does Damasci manufacture its jewelry?
All Damasci diamond jewelry is handcrafted in our own Toronto studios. The company prides itself in retaining world class artisans, with an emphasis on old world standards, passed down from generations to generation, thus assuring our valued clientele the best possible outcome on both catalogue designs and custom orders.
What is the quality of the smaller diamonds used in your jewelry products?
Many online jewelry stores offer lower quality smaller diamonds consisting of J/K color and I1/I2 clarity labeled as “Commercial”, while others offer “Promotional” goods of higher color and clarity but are still cut for maximum weight.
On the other hand, Damasci is proud to offer finer, small diamonds of exceptional E-F color and VVS VS clarity for its handcrafted engagement rings. These diamonds, precisely cut to maximize fire and brilliance, are labeled as “Collection”. Such quality goods are exclusively available from specialty dealers.
Are any of your loose diamonds modified in any way, such as clarity enhancement, color enhancement and laser treatment?
Be assured, Damasci only deals with 100% natural or lab-created diamonds.
In fact, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the American Gem Society (AGS), and the International Gemological Institute (IGI) will only issue their grading reports on diamonds that are untreated and unenhanced. This is one more assurance that your loose diamond is not only 100% authentic but also guaranteed to have not treatments.
Do you use natural or synthetic gemstones in your jewelry?
We are happy to provide our valued customers with 100% earth mined diamonds and gemstones as well, the option to select a lab-created diamond. Simply go to our diamond filtersand select either natural or lab-crated under 'Diamond Type',
Do you use gemstones in your jewelry which are heat treated?
Currently heat treating gemstones is commonplace. The beauty and value of the gemstone is enhanced with the addition of heat treatment. As well, the luster and over all appearance of emeralds are frequently infused with resins, waxes or colorless oils. Most emeralds, rubies, and sapphires on the market today are treated in some fashion.

Is it true that 18k white gold rings turn yellow over time?
Yes it’s true. Keeping 18k white gold rings pure white in color requires a plating of rhodium. Plating white gold in general is common practice within the jewelry industry. Over a period of time, the rhodium plating may wear off, revealing the actual color of the white gold, which is in fact off-white in appearance. Damasci’s lifetime warranty offers free rhodium plating on all your white gold jewelry purchases.
Are Damasci’s Diamonds Conflict Free?
Yes all Damasci diamonds are warranted to be conflict free. We are proud to offer our valued customers conflict free diamonds obtained from the world’s most ethical sources, which remain uncompromised in regards to child labor practices, human right abuses, political violence and environmental degradation as outlined in the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market.
In 2003, the Kimberly Process was originally established by the United Nation General Assembly Resolution to track and certify diamonds. The process was set up to ensure that diamond purchases were not financing political conflict and environmental degradation.

If you locate an advertised diamond of comparable shape, size, and quality, Damasci will go out of its way to match the competition’s price.

Payments
What methods of payments do you accept?
Damasci accepts all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and American Express, as well as PayPal. Some of our clientele prefer payment by way of wire transfer, especially on higher priced items over $1500. All wire transfer orders receive a discount of 1.5% off the listed price.
Please note, instructions covering wire transfers will be issued upon completion of check-out process. Once our banking institution confirms your wire transfer payment has been received, all items will then be shipped. Damasci may require bank wire payment for any international order exceeding $25,000.
You can place your credit card orders online by using our secure server or by calling our Customer Service Department. For some orders, Damasci reserves the right to request documentation such as valid driver’s license or photocopy of your credit card.

Do you offer a discount, if I pay by bank wire?
Yes, all bank wire customers enjoy a 1.5% discount off their total order.
Do you charge sales tax on customer orders?
Damasci only collects sales tax on domestic orders. Should your order be shipped to the U.S, your tax rate may vary depending on the state you reside in. Please refer to our tax rate chart for further information.
When is my credit card billed?
We bill your credit card upon confirmation of your purchase. The one exception is Amex. With payments authorized at the time of purchase, the funds are captured as your order is shipped.
Is it possible to pay with two different credit cards?

What does the term credit card security code mean?
The term refers to a three or four digit number that appears above the signature on the back of Visa and MasterCard. American Express users will be able to locate the code in the top right of the front of their card.

Return Policy
What Is Your Refund Policy?
Damasci’s refund policy includes the return of your online purchase within 30 days of shipment for a full refund or exchange. We will also be pleased to cover the shipping costs. However, free shipping does not apply to customers outside of Canada. The refund policy is applicable for three refunds or exchanges per customer.
Please note: There will be a $50 re-polishing fee for any returned item which has been engraved.
Simply follow the return procedure listed below:
- Call our Customer Service department at1-855-539-6886 and advise the representative of your wish to return a Damasci item.
- Within 24 hours we will email you a pre-paid FedEx 2-Day label, as well as instruct you how to securely package your items.
- Simply mail your order back to us from the nearest FedEx location and FedEx will assist you with packaging materials, as required.
- Within 2 business days your order should arrive at our office, excluding holidays and weekends.
- Your refund will be processed with 2 weeks in the original purchase method by way of company check.
Items Improperly Packaged
We will refuse receipt of all items delivered to Damasci without a Returned Authorization Number (RAN), as well as parcels improperly packaged, uninsured or shipped after the thirty-day return period.
Damaged or Used Items
All returned merchandise must be in its original condition. Signs of ware or alterations by a jeweler other than our own will be deemed unacceptable.
Eternity Bands
Eternity bands are manufactured to your specifications and therefore are subject to exchange only, with a product of equal or greater value.
Custom Design Orders
Items customized to your specifications in our Damasci Custom Design Studio are not refundable.
Do you have an upgrade policy?
Yes we do. Damasci has a truly attractive upgrade policy sure to please our value-minded customers. Any diamond purchased from Damasci can be exchanged for a 100% credit towards a new diamond valued at least 80% higher than the original amount. The diamond being upgraded must be in its original condition and accompanied by the lab grading documentation issued at point of purchase. Any remodeling of the original setting will be offered at a discounted rate.

Do you have a buy-back policy for loose diamonds purchased from you?
Yes we do. Damasci’s customers frequently express appreciation for our two year buy-back policy. Should you require the sale of your loose diamond, Damasci will re-purchase it for 70% of the original purchase price, providing the diamond is in its original condition and is accompanied by lab grading documentation issued at point of purchase.
Please note: Our buy-back policy applies to loose diamonds only, with GIA, AGS, or IGI, documentation. Engagement rings and other fine jewelry cannot be considered.
Shipping Policy
Where do you ship your diamonds?
Damasci ships its diamonds and jewelry products across Canada, the U.S and internationally. We can deliver directly to your home, business, or nearest FedEx location.
Regarding deliveries to the United States, custom duties and taxes will vary according to your shipping destination and the nature of your purchase.
Please refer to our Tax Rate Chart to confirm shipping costs in your area.
All international orders, regardless of their value, are shipped free of charge by Damasci. These items are securely packaged and insured during transit to assure arrival in a timely manner. Damasci will always insure and register your items at full market value. For speedy and safe delivery of high value packages, we always use FedEx services.
Furthermore, Damasci requires that all deliveries be made to an existing business or home location. PO Box addresses are disallowed and only an adult may sign for a packaged item.

What is the cost of shipping?
Damasci provides its valued customers with fast, free and reliable shipping on all orders, regardless of destination and order amount.
If I place an international order, do I pay custom fees to Damasci or do I pay FedEx?
Be assured that when you place an international order with us, we will ship it to you at our expense. In other words, shipping costs are on us. Regarding taxes and/or duties, the courier will contact you once the package arrives in your area. Shipping is handled by FedEx International on all orders and usually takes 2-3 days from the date of shipping.
Can I ship to an address that is different from my billing address?
Yes, you can.
After I order my item, how long will it take to be shipped?
Damasci’s quality control team carefully inspects all of its loose diamonds before shipping, to ensure accurate and secure packaging. Therefore loose diamonds are shipped one to five days after payment via FedEx Priority.
All Damasci jewelry and engagement rings are hand-crafted in our Toronto studios, guaranteeing the highest quality standards are maintained. Jewelry items including custom design work normally take one to three weeks for shipping, depending on the complexity and production schedule of the item. You will be notified as to the shipping date on the detail page, for each item.
Please note: Overnight packages leaving Friday will arrive on Monday.
Are you a drop-shipper?
